There is no single number of personal training sessions that makes sense for everyone. The useful question is how much coached support you need, alongside the training you can manage between appointments.
At Forever Aesthetic in Mississauga, we recommend a training frequency after your assessment. That gives us a chance to understand your starting point before discussing a package.
How much guidance do you want?
If you are new to the gym, you may want help learning exercises and becoming comfortable with a routine. If you already train regularly, you might be looking for feedback, a clearer plan or support with a particular goal.
Tell your coach where you feel confident and where you feel unsure. Having years of gym experience does not mean you want to do everything independently. Being new does not mean your schedule can accommodate unlimited appointments.
What can you do between coached sessions?
Your full training week matters. Explain where you can exercise outside the studio, which equipment you have and how comfortable you are following a workout on your own.
Forever Aesthetic’s private training packages include training app access for extra workouts, stretching and mobility. Ask how that work fits around your coached sessions so you understand the plan as a whole.
If you know you are unlikely to train independently, say so. A recommendation built around workouts you cannot realistically complete will be less useful than an honest conversation about your week.
What does your schedule actually allow?
Look at a normal week, including work, travel and family commitments. Then think about the weeks when your routine changes.
A frequency should be practical enough to attend. Discuss your available times before choosing a package, especially if you work shifts or travel regularly. Your budget belongs in that conversation too.
Does a deadline change the recommendation?
An upcoming event or recruitment assessment gives your coach relevant context. Share the date and the exact requirement rather than simply asking for the fastest possible result.
A deadline does not make the same number of sessions appropriate for everyone. Your current fitness, experience and available training time still matter. If the goal involves law-enforcement recruitment, review our fitness preparation service and bring your current official instructions.
How do you decide when to adjust?
Ask how progress will be reviewed and what would prompt a change in the plan. That might include changes in your schedule, growing confidence with independent workouts or a different goal.
Coaching should give you an understanding of what you are working on. You do not need to arrive with a session count already chosen.
Start with an assessment
Send an inquiry about personal training. We reply with availability to arrange your 60-minute assessment. Towards the end, we sit down to review your results and recommend a training frequency.
You can also compare one-on-one, partner and private group training. The right format and frequency should fit your goals and the support you want.
