What FITCO involves.
Medical screening
Before testing you complete screening forms, including the PAR-Q+. A physician's clearance is required if you are 45 or older, or if you have medical issues or answer yes on the PAR-Q+.
1. Search station
Tests your ability to search a cell effectively.
2. Emergency response circuit
Tests your ability to respond to emergencies.
3. Aerobic shuttle run
Tests your capacity for physically demanding work. See shuttle run training for how we coach it.
Ontario's guidance suggests working with a certified personal trainer if you're new to strength, aerobic or flexibility training. All of our coaches are Certified Personal Trainers.

How we train it.
- Start with a baseline
Your 60 minute assessment, including a shuttle run, shows where you stand on strength, conditioning and movement. Then we set a plan around your test date.
- Move well for the search
Movement and mobility work that simulates the search station, with the leg strength to keep moving well.
- Simulate the emergency response
Circuit work that simulates each part of the response, building the conditioning to move fast when it counts.
- Build the shuttle run
Pacing, turns at the line and the endurance to keep going, coached on our turf lanes.
- Retest and look ahead
Progress checks before your test, and training that carries you through the second FITCO at the Ontario Correctional Services College.
Train your way.
Every format is open to law enforcement applicants and personal training clients.
- 1 on 1: your coach, your plan, from $73 per session
- 1 on 2: train with a partner, from $64 per person per session
- 1 on 3: a small group of three, from $50 per person per session
All prices plus HST. Private packages include a custom meal plan and our training app for extra workouts, stretching and mobility. Payment plans are available. See pricing
Not near Mississauga? Custom online coaching runs through the app, with email check-ins every two weeks.
Passing is just the beginning.
We train for many different law enforcement tests, and we set up the studio to simulate every part of yours.
We build law enforcement athletes who know how to train on their own, with the strength, conditioning and habits the job asks for. That's what Forever Aesthetic means: what you learn here, you keep for life.
