You do not need to get fit before speaking with a personal trainer. An assessment gives us a starting point: what you want to achieve, where you are now and what training could realistically fit into your week.
At Forever Aesthetic in Mississauga, your in-person assessment lasts 60 minutes. It ends with a sit-down conversation to review your results and recommend a training frequency.
First, send an inquiry
Start by sending a personal training inquiry. Tell us what you want help with and when you are generally available. We will reply with availability so we can arrange your assessment.
Sending the form does not book a training session automatically. It starts the conversation and gives you a chance to ask questions before your visit.
Talk through your goals and experience
You might want to feel stronger, improve mobility, work towards a transformation or become more comfortable in the gym. You do not need a perfectly worded goal. It also helps to tell us about everyday things you'd like to find easier.
We discuss your current activity, training experience and the time you can make available. Mention previous difficulties with exercise and anything that may affect how you train. If a health concern affects your participation, raise it before the appointment so we can discuss the appropriate next step.
Establish your starting point
The practical part of the assessment is tailored to your goals and current fitness. The purpose is to gather useful information for your training, rather than compare you with someone else.
A general personal training assessment does not automatically include a shuttle run. If you are preparing for a law-enforcement fitness requirement, tell us your target role and any instructions you have received. That way we can plan an assessment that fits your test.
Review your results together
Towards the end, we sit down with you to explain what we observed and recommend how often to train. We can discuss one-on-one coaching, partner training or a private group of three, depending on the support you want and who you plan to train with.
You should leave with a clearer understanding of your starting point and the next step. A recommendation is based on your circumstances, including the training you can do between coached sessions. It isn't a promise that you'll reach your goal in a set number of weeks.
What should you have ready?
- A short explanation of your goals, even if they are still taking shape.
- Your usual weekly availability and any upcoming dates that matter.
- Questions about coaching, training formats or working out between sessions.
- Any role-specific fitness instructions, if you are preparing for recruitment.
The assessment is a separate appointment from a training package. You can review the current assessment and training options before sending your inquiry.
When you are ready, tell us what you would like help with. We will respond with availability for your assessment.
